Aloha all...

It is emotionally difficult for me to make this month's Artmail page. My Hawaiian friend, Kolo Kai...we were brothers since meeting in 1989...is not with us any more. I will be making Kolo pages with photos from the past in another part of this website. It will begin HERE and will be updated when more is officially known.

There was a nice couple from the Palatinate in Germany who arrived at the end of the April. CS Werner and Anke slept over and we talked story and I did some slide shows, but my mind was on other things. I may not have been the best company.

I decided that I would be making many needed changes to the inside of 15B. It will be well into June before I'll be hosting couchsurfers again. I already have couchsurfers scheduled later in the summer. I found out about Kolo shortly after CS Vincent and Marjo left for the other side of Kaua'i on the 16th. Earlier, we looked for Kolo's van when we were at at Polihale...it was not there, sadly.

I am slowly making many of changes to the inside of 15B...and taking some reading breaks and a few bodysurfing breaks, too.

My couch is hiding...now it's in a different place.

 

Jeanne came by to show me the van that she bought...a very good deal. Kilauea Volcano has been going off on Big Island and the breeze has carried the vog even to the westside of Kaua'i. Notice the grayish sky instead of blue:
