Aloha all...
I mentioned last time that I had some camera problems that I had to get fixed. There are four plastic gizmos that, with the slide-lock, holds the battery case door closed tightly. In my haste to change batteries, I opened the door too quickly and broke the two lower gizmos pictured in the photo. To me, it looks like there are four little phillips screws to remove in order to easily replace the plastic piece that has three of the gizmos on it. I phoned a digital camera parts supplier, but could not find the part in the "exploded camera" diagrams. Without the name of the part, the supplier couldn't help me.
I contacted the Epson company to find out what that part with the gizmos is called so I could order a replacement.

I was not told the name of the part, but after I sent a copy of the photo, this is what I was told:...
"Looking into this issue further, it turns out that this particular part is not an end-user replaceable part. Your camera will need to be repaired by a certified repair center...(two were named on Oahu)...Some of our Repair Centers may not be aware of our camera service procedures. Please contact the Repair Center, and ask them to please call us at their Epson dealer phone number. We will then explain our camera repair procedure, after which they should be able to handle the repair."
That didn't make me very happy. I can tape the battery cover(door) tightly closed to take photos. After a while, the tape slips just enough to break the circuit after which I have to reset the date and time, then retape the cover tightly closed. That process is too much trouble. I went on the Internet to search for a broken camera from which I could get the needed part, but found a used camera of the same model which works for a very reasonable price. I bought it and am waiting for delivery.

For Valentine's Day, I made a cocopalm fiber Valentine for my grand daughter. I took a couple of photos then mailed it...

Happy Valentine's Day.

I have finished the Rainbow Tranceman PFP. After I signed then sprayed with acrylic clear, then set frond upside-down to dry, the "2" in the "2006" slid down mysteriously...not leaving a smear. I decided to leave it that way.
...
The slippery "2."

That's all for now...
Aloha, Art
