It's really blowing now! I'm rocking! Leaves are stuck all over my windshield. Leaves on my hood and on my rear window, too. [This is what I was looking for the up and down place at the air cushion's edge. I was in the spot.] I'm going to move into the back of my car into my sleeping space.
Big branches broke off and smacked into the dumpster across the lot by the transformer poles pinning it against two telephone poles. That's good! That dumpster over there bothered me earlier. It's on wheels and I couldn't tip it over before the wind so that it couldn't roll around the parking lot.
Before I came here, I was helping Andy Lopez pack his stuff to take to a house in Omao. We both left at the same time. I hope he made it! A lot of trees could be on the road. [He made it around the fallen trees he was the last car through on that road.]
I want to watch while it is still light. A lot is going on. So far, I've predicted OK for this spot. I have to consider possible wind changes while I can still see what's out there. The sign is gone - I don't know where.
KQNG is on the air! It's only 2:20! Roofs are flying around in Lihue. People are calling in reporting on what's happening where they are.
It's still like being in a boat. All my things are piled up on the windward side of me car. I'm on the other side where I sleep. All kinds of stuff is flying by, but only one has tapped my car, so far. I have a full tank of gasoline, all my stuff and me to weigh down the back of the car and the engine weighs down the front.
A sign and more stuff just blew against my car, but not bad. I'm where the wind is bouncing off the wall. I'm treating it like a wave where the backwash meets the incoming wave.
A cardboard box just hit the car.
