Three days later, on the 9th, I decided to drive up the hill, past Waimea Canyon overlooks, and test the Polivan in the potential rain and colder air.

That's Ni'ihau, "The Forbidden Island," on the horizon.

One of the impressive hikes takes you to the top of Waipo'o Falls. You walk along that light colored area on that ridge in the photo below left to get to a pool and the waterfall...I'm not going there today.

In the photo on the right, that's only for goats...don't even think it.
