I took over 200 photos of the last Kekaha Elementary School May Day Festival. Next year, the fifth and sixth grades will be at the middle school. This traditional May Day Festival is done with the pomp and circumstance of Hawaiian royalty.

Blowing of the Royal Pu shell horns.
Each of the Hawaiin islands has a color: Kaho'olawe - grey, Ni'ihau - white, Kaua'i - purple, O'ahu - yellow, Molokai - green, Lana'i - orange, Maui - pink, Big Island - Red. The procession, representing each island's royalty, with kahilis and clothing of the island's color, begins with the blowing of the Pu.
