Aloha all...
I have a lot to do with Artmail 82. There'll be some changes made. Last week, I made the Date-of-Artmails page. Reason: I wanted to send links to Artmail pages that would give my son's family an idea of what to expect at that time of the year in my world on the westside of Kaua'i. The Artmail links don't give a clue to the dates...now, the date page does. I figured that Artmails 35, (I'll set up at Camp 4 pictured). 36, and 38 will best show them what to expect at Polihale during their stay on Kauai. They will stay in Po'ipu.
As I said, I haven't been working on the PFPs for a while. It looks like I won't finish PFP 13 before the new year. Too much is happening between now and then. I put these two photos up again because of what they show.

One of the things that I was painting was this coconut head for Tashi. She has a bunch hanging in some trees. This one turned out pretty silly.

I have another coconut that I am working on now for Lauren. If I do it the way I originally wanted, there is no way she could receive it before Christmas. I was going to paint a coconut head which I was going to name Alf A. Bett and he was going to have all the letters of the alphabet on his hat and flap. The L, A, U, R, E, and N, were going to be one color, the other letters not that color. I was also thinking of painting all the digets, too, No. 1 in Lauren's color.
I went to Tashi's to get a coconut.

After scrubbing it clean, I put the coconut in the freezer for two or three days. I figure that is sure to kill any tropical vermin that had lived in it. Next, I gave it two coats of gesso, then...

Painting the letters will take some time. I don't see how I can get Alf finished and mailed in time to arrive in California by Christmas. Maybe I can get some one there to turn on a computer, get online and show Lauren Alf and tell her that soon he will arrive in the mail from Grampa Art.
