In less than an hour I am going to Polihale. I'll take some photos there, of course. I have taken very few other photos so far this week. I have started to make some additions to PFP 18.

Here's the problem...that forward bulge.

It was about 3:30 yesterday afternoon when Tashi with me in the Tercel followed by Pat in her car with Nancy (Nanci?) drove out to Polihale. There have been several heavy rains since I was last out to Polihale three or four weeks ago and the cane road has NEW holes and bumps. When I was living at Polihale, I knew the road well and was able to drive the "flow" of the road smoothly (to a certain degree) using both sides of the road. (There's not a lot of traffic on the cane road). The "old" pathway that I knew was no longer operative...new "bumpy" holes taking its place.
Just after we drove past Cane Top Pavilion at Polihale heading for the day area, the strong winds hit us. It was very windy with some sand blowing at the little pavilion where we stopped. I try to avoid having my camera lens exposed to sandy, salty air blowing against it so I took only these photos:
